Celebrating Our Volunteers: 10 Years of Wrenching and Giving Back

April is National Volunteer Month, and there’s no better time to recognize the heart and soul of RBH—our incredible volunteers. Their passion, dedication, and willingness to roll up their sleeves (often literally!) are what keep the wheels of our mission turning.

This month, the City of Rockville hosted a beautiful Volunteer Recognition Reception at Glenview Mansion, honoring community volunteers from across the city. We were proud to see many RBH volunteers in attendance, representing the spirit of service that drives our work every day.

Earlier this year, we marked a major milestone—10 years of RBH! In January, we gathered for a special anniversary celebration at Mamma Lucia in Fallsgrove. It was a night filled with laughter, memories, and deep gratitude as we looked back on a decade of impact. We shared stories, honored our generous donors, and—most importantly—recognized the incredible volunteers who have fueled our growth from the very beginning.

From teaching bike maintenance, to refurbishing donated bikes, to supporting community events, our volunteers have touched thousands of lives and empowered people of all ages to ride confidently and safely. Their efforts have made biking more accessible, more sustainable, and more joyful for so many in our community.

To each and every one of our volunteers: THANK YOU! Thank you for your time, your talents, and your heart. You are the spokes that keep us moving forward.

Here’s to 10 years of community, camaraderie, and cycling—and to many more miles ahead.
