RBH supports the Wild Goose Chase
After a pandemic hiatus, the Wild Goose Chase ride happened again this past weekend and RBH was more than happy to support this event. The Wild Goose Chase was created in 2008 by Georgena Terry, a women’s bicycling pioneer and icon, as a fundraiser for the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Women cyclists from all around came together in Cambridge, MD for a weekend of camaraderie and riding the low-traffic scenic county roads in and around the Refuge.
RBH participated by providing in-person basic maintenance workshops at the Environmental Education Building on the Refuge. Participants received hands-on experience on changing flat tires, adjusting brakes and cleaning drivetrains. The ladies asked questions and received a lot of good suggestions and tips for their own bikes.
