Where Did the Summer Go?

RBH has been busy this summer and can’t believe the fall is almost here!  This June, RBH participated in the Gaithersburg Fix-it Fair at the Casey Community Center.  This recurring event schedules appointments to help fix a variety of things including simple bike maintenance.

In July, the Rockville Recreation and Parks Foundation has announced the Rockville Bike Hub as the recipient of the Community Achievement Award! This recognition is a testament to your hard work and dedication to our community. RBH was proud to receive this award for the TERRIFIC Kids program and  working with Andy and Laura in the City's Recreation and Parks department.  This award is listed under 2023 on the Foundations's website but we did receive it this year: https://www.rrpfi.org/community-awards

In August, RBH hosted a Fix It with your Grandparent Bike Clinic.  Volunteers guided kids and their grandparents while checking donated bikes for problems and learning some simple bike maintenance tasks.  More details are posted here:

Also, Steve created an overview shop tour video to help introduce volunteers to our temporary space.

His camera fun continued with a tools orientation video to guide volunteers around a work bench and the tools we use in the shop.  Now that he is retired we may see more of these videos in the future!

As a way to kick-off the fall season and to celebrate RBH’s 10th anniversary, we are restarting our t-shirt fundraising campaign.  Due to popular demand, t-shirts in other colors and with long-sleeves options are now available for a limited time.  You can order directly online at https://www.bonfire.com/rbh-tees/ and choose your own style and colors.  $25 for short-sleeve and $30 for long-sleeve.  Place your order now to help us celebrate our 10th anniversary!
